Department history
The department was founded in 1892. The teaching staff of the department is constantly working on improving the educational process aimed at making decorative and household items based on compositions independently developed by students, and at developing their creative potential.
The curriculum of the department of "Artistic Metal Products" covers tasks for the architectural or landscape environment (gates, fences, grilles, chandeliers, furniture, three-dimensional plastic and sculpture). The teaching staff of the department pays special attention to the popularization of metal art both in Ukraine and abroad. Participants in the educational process are permanent partners of blacksmithing festivals, various exhibitions and art events.
Since 1969, the department has graduated over 450 specialists, including:
Volskyi S.F., Semenyuk V.I., Sternyuk A.I., Sava V.I., Shust M.R.
The head of the cycle commission is Ostap Petrovych Luchinsky. The teaching staff of the department is formed from graduates of this department, of different years of graduation: Pidkova Mykhailo Ivanovych, Holovaty Ostap Petrovych, Luchinsky Volodymyr Ostapovych, Cholach Andriy Mikhailovich, Galushko Severyn Yevgenych.
